So much to write about today. Partly because there’s so much I’ve put off writing about!
However first thing I want to direct your attention to is a site that I only discovered just now.
It’s for a ‘The Dot Project‘ and it’s an adjunct to the Roundabout Theatre Company’s site for the current Broadway Production/Season of Sunday in the Park with George.
The introduction to the site features a quote from the song “Putting it Together” – “Every moment makes a contribution. Every little detail plays a part.” The site aims to recreate the Georges Seurat painting that the musical was inspired by using ‘one digital brushstroke at a time’. Visitors to the site are invited to create a dot in homage to Seurat’s pointillist style, with the opportunity to upload an image of your own, and you’re asked to list five things that you enjoy doing on Sundays.
It’s a great idea, and I had fun adding my dot to the canvas. Go have a look and let your inner artist roam free…
